Well I wasn't implying that it was this discussion thread that would start things along that path, but thanks for your little quip there.

I'm referring to the injury itself, and how it's being treated at a hospital (who believe it or not report injuries, it's a funny thing they do). And if he decides to litigate against the mask manufacturer, I'm sure there will be some fallout.

I'd think the more reasonable set of assumptions would frame this incident as an unfortunate, but freak accident in which proper safety regulations were followed, like every other paintball injury that has (and will) happen, and less of a money grab by an injured first-time player that spoils our head strap-less goodtime party. Its weird that happened without elevation. The fields around here to no allow shooting straight down or straight up because of this.
