What to buy Semi or another Phantom

Hello folks!

I currently have an A5, Zeus 2, TiPX and my fav the Phantom.

I have an itch for another marker either a micro Phantom with a drop-out (in the oh so sexy dust slate) or possibly a mech semi. What do you think? My A5 and Zeus are primarily loaned out to other players when I am at the field and every now and then I'd like to make use of a large format semi to lay down some fire power.

The AGD Automag seems very well liked and I have seen a few used ones up for sale lately, what do y'all think of these? I prefer to run CO2 because of its availability and it seems the mag is primarily designed to run HPA (I have HPA I just find charging for home set-up and tinkering purposes hard to do.)

Does anyone know of a mech semi that runs efficiently on 12ies?

Cheers and thanks for the input.

Mike

the mag was actually "designed" for co2, it just works better with hpa like most any marker. should work fine on co2. i vote automag.

Yes I know, I admit its his I want a copy of. Hey he's on the other side of the country (practically) I'm hoping he doesn't mind. Besides I plan to add some custom home made wood grip panels and possible wood pump handle.

So it would be somewhat unique.

I think if you looked for the right mech cocker, you would be happy. I have had quite a few that ran perfect on CO2, had all the accuracy of your phantom and a fair amount of firepower. Really, they are my favorite to play with after all these years.

Really? Those auto cockers do have a good reputation but they seem so complicated vs auto mags, with all those little tubes... I love the Phantom in part because of it incredible simplicity.

Are auto cockers reliable and simply to repair and service?

Thanks,

M
