Will I Ever Stop Being Giddy?

About two years ago, I just got plain sick of trying to carve out a serious paintball hobby in a part of the state that had zero paintball community. I got fed up and just quit trying, though my love for the game never went away.

Now, two years later, I live in an area that has real fields and players, and where walking on at a field doesn't mean 2-on-2 games IF you're lucky. I FINALLY know what it's like to live in a place where the game is actually embraced, and the love has come roaring back with a vengeance. I've lived here 3.5 months, and I've already played 9 times. Here it is Wednesday, and all I can think about at work is how much I'm looking forward to playing this weekend. How hopeful I am that my new gear will show up in time to try out Saturday. How cool it is to be trying out a new field that I've never been to.

It's like I'm a kid just starting out all over again.

*Sorry for the ramble but, like I said, I can't concentrate on anything else in my cubicle right now.

I hear ya man. After I started driving about a year ago, it opened up all kinds of paintball for me that was impossible before.

The simple answer should be "I hope not!"

I also feel the same. I'm getting a vehicle in the next months and can't wait to drive an hour to some big games. Like Canadian carnage. Hopefully they do it again next year

LOL. With my screen shrunk down like it is (trying to hide it from the boss), all I saw of your Location info was the ", CA". After reading your post, I thought, "Damn...dude's gonna drive from California to friggin' Canada for that game!?"

Dude, it's been SO hard to not buy every gun that catches my eye these last couple of months. I've almost hit the "Buy" button on 6 different ones in the last two weeks.

I don't think so! Iv been playing for a loooong time and took a break for my first two years at college but once I got back into it I'm the same. I want a new gun every week, I wanna try every style (used to be only interested in speedball), and I feel like I appreciate each time I get to go more than I used to! I also get excited every time I go still, just like when I was a noobie
