EDIT: Yep, they definitely had all the goods there! Shotgun, pistol, paint, and all the other goodies. I didn't catch the price on the pistol, but the shotgun ran me $35. 500rd canteens go for $15 a piece, bought two.

It's too dark to really go to town with it, but it is pretty damn cool. I could goof off with this thing for hours. The paint seems pretty sweet too, for .50 cal. May be enough of a reason to try one of those Kingman .50 pistols.

EDIT 2: Nevermind, those things are .43 cal. Sigh....

Balls.

I like this whole Paintball Jr. thing. It should work to evangelize the real sport to parents as their kids age (oh, it's like that, but faster). Also, it breeds pumpers.

Yeah, I'm not convinced about that. I think as kids age they will be looking at "real" paintball and wanting to step up to "real" paintball guns (ones that shoot faster and you don't have to pump every time you want to shoot). So it might do exactly the opposite.

Yeah, it was mainly an optimistic notion. The arc will be no different than my generation who started with BE Talons or Tiger Sharks and progressed in the arms race from there.

Besides, pumpers can't be bred - we're a breed unto ourselves. Like a genetic mutation.

hmmm.... sold some stuff and have some free funds. The field i play at has alot of CQB play - I might go snag one on my lunch break and look into modding it and if nothing just giving it a nice new paint job and hell.....if anything the few people you get out with that thing is really going to show skill
Plus im already rocking a BE Talon, why not try out a Z200.....haha a 39.00 marker to go with my I4's.

I like things like this, yes its for younger kids but if you had a field of 5 V 5 with these it would still be a blast....its a little shotgun that shoots paintballs....how can you not wanna try it!

Finally went to my local WalMart here in Canada. Not only did I not find any SplatMasters, I also found ZERO other paintball stuff. There was more airsoft stuff than the last time I checked though, so all is not lost (if you're into airsoft that is).

i was at one of our local events, the guy running it is a dealer for kee
JT sent him an inflatable booth, with all sorts of goodies

we tested/demo'd the shotgun and pistol both, with 50 people (many beginner/new/never played and a few tourny guys)

i am honestly really impressed
they are VERY accurate, they are really consistent
pump stroke isnt jenky or wobbly, it has antil double cock
both are spring feed w/ followers/stops/etc
paint was very brittle, but still got maybe 5-10% bounces from 30 feet on hard targets (if you hit the edge of the target, the target flexed and wouldnt break paint, but if you hit the center, they broke)

i asked to be shot by it, felt like a rubberband snap, not too bad, but a little more than i expected, even shot myself in the hand (on purpose) and it was fine!

i actually posted up my praise on the Splatmaster Facebook page, i really am impressed with the product

(me on the right with pistol, logan on left w/ shotgun)

(i was shot in the chest, twice. Andy was shot in the lens 3 times.... lol)
