JT Splatmaster .50 - Page 5

We got to mess around with these last Friday when Paul Bollenbach, our Kee rep visited the field. He brought them out for us to shoot and mess with. The Pistol chrono'd at 110 fps, while the shotgun chrono'd at 140.

The field Operation Manager's kid was on hand to help out, he is 5 years old. He got shot and said "Shoot me again, it doesn't hurt" after he got shot on his bare arm. The shotgun is so easy to pump, a 5 year old is able to pump it, however, getting it out of his hands was a different story, lol.

We were told that Kee is marketing this towards the moms/dads/smaller kids that have to hang out waiting for the older kids playing paintball, or to the moms/dads that dont want to play with their kids for fear of being shot with a paintball. This way the parents can interact with the kids at their outtings. I, personally, didn't get to play with the JT Splatmasters (I had to trim the tree's on the field, lol) but did get to fondle the shotgun in the shop.

i picked up the z200 shotgun on a trip down to the states. if feels nice and to be honest feels better then a empire traccer that i had. i was shooting 130's on the chrono. going to paint it black and try to find a way to increase the fps some how to atleast 200's.

Ordered a z200, to my understanding the local walmarts don't carry any of the jt splatmaster stuff, or the website says they don't. Got it yesterday, it feels pretty nice. Haven't shot it yet, though, can't really do much of that in an apartment.

I'm not sure anyone would want to mod this to shoot at higher velocities. I'd imagine that'd cause a lot of breech/barrel breaks unless you were to use thicker shell .50 cal, and not the jt splatmaster stuff.

Redstar99 ran the JT booth for a while at the last Pevs event in Aldie VA.

I wish he'd speak up, as he has a bit of experience with these.

I'm planning on picking up a z200 this week and modding it to shoot above 200 fps as well. If I can do it I'll post a video of the modification.

If it shoots correctly afterward this would probably become the only pump gun I use. I'm not sure how that Ultra Evil shell of their paint would hold up to the velocity increase.

Thanks for giving me some information on potential problems to look out for. It will help with initial planning on areas that would need to be beefed up to prevent failure.

Success!

I just got this one put back together with a new heavier spring and it does shoot farther now. I don't have a chrono here with me right now to see the FPS increase but I can tell by how far it's shooting that it has increased quite a bit.

**I think the main issue this might have, as Simon mentioned, is how long the sear system holds up over time with the heavier load.***

nice! how much more effort does it take to pump it now? looking forward to see the chrono numbers. i chrono'd mine and i was getting mid 130's
