Shipping time estimate/experiences:

Hi all, long time no chat.

Anyway, having been re-bitten by the paintball bug, I got back in and of course, the paintball buying sickness has overtaken me once again.

Now, I'm posting here because I recently purchased an item on ebay which is being shipped to me from the wilds of British Columbia. Okay, not really the wilds, it's from right outside Vancouver, but still, it's way the heck away from where I live.

Now, I've shipped TO Canuckistan, but never from. Canada Post has that my package went across the border today, and I know that the USPS doesn't honor their tracking system, so I'm in the dark now.

This thing is moving ground from the Sea-Tac area all the way to my house outside of Washington, DC. Anyone have an idea of what that's going to take time wise?

Thanks in advance!

Typically postal from Canada to US or vice versa can take 3-7 days using express mail. If another type of mail is used it can take upwards of a month.

if it is already across the border, then give it another week maybe two.

the holiday on monday probably backed some stuff up a little.

Yeah, I figured customs would hold it up a bit. I think it took 2 weeks when I shipped something to Canada last, it was for a MCB member who wanted a Trillogy when they were having the fire sale on them down here in the states.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm waiting on a '02 Black Magic which looked to be in pretty good (and fairly stock) condition. They even still had the matching barrel.

You should be able to track it via USPS if the package came with a tracking number in the first place...

CA XXX XXX XXX YZ... I have never had a problem tracking that when I ship to the US.
Only twice have I had packages take more than a month to arrive, both times they were electronics.

Canada Post has made efforts recently to speed up delivery times to the US. You should get your package soon.

Getting it across the border is the tough part. Once it clears and is in the U.S. shouldn't take more than a few days.

Recently I had something ship from Canada and it was going on 3wks before I got it. Once it was in my hands, I tracked it and the guy didnt ship for nearly two weeks, so it really only took 1 wk to get to me.

Good luck.

It depends upon the method of shipping. I don't know exactly how they offer their shipping up there, but if it is like it is here, they either did parcel or priority (Shipping to Canada, these days, it's all priority). Parcel will take a week or so, priority should only take two or maybe three days.

hey Colin, long time no see.

it really depends if or when it was shipped. had something shipped from Montreal a while ago and it took forever. so its really a crap shoot. just don't expect it to be at your door in a couple of days. just hope for this month.

Hey Doug! Definitely long-time-no-see. How are things?

Yeah, I'm thinking this was shipped Priority since it was $20+ for shipping, but I could be wrong.
