Just re-entering the sport and after I bought my T2 I was looking for an electro, either DM or Ego as I am familiar with both. Was blown away at the prices on used kit from 2008 when I left the game, especially since most of the changes in the PE/Dye camps have been cosmetic versus technological since 2008-onward. Ended up snagging a seldom used Sl8r locally for $450. I remember them retailing new for near 3 x that price. Plus, it will keep up and be as reliable as anything put out since then, I didn't see the point in buying new. |

At years end I'd say the value drops by 40-50 percent even more so if it was heavily used, or at least it used to be like that when Eclipse was releasing a new gat every year I had picked up my 07 Redz Ego in 09 for about $375shipped and my 09 Pink Lady in late 2010 for $500shipped Both were moderately used and were in about a 7 to 8 out of 10 condition The older guns out there are still awesome for use and can still be on par with any of the new gen markers on the scene I believe only moderate improvements, innovation and efficiency are the perks of the new generations of gats Sure we can have a marker spew out a rope of 50 shots per second but there's no real need for it |

Very interesting (especially as an Ego owner). I think that the price drop in 06s and 08s could be attributed to the fact that they didn't offer much "new" goodies over the previous year's model. They were more refined, but an 07 and 08 are pretty similar compared to the drastic difference between an 06 and 07. The 2010 Ego is still somewhat fresh, especially w/o the release of a 2012 model so we'll see how that's value is affected in the future.

How did the 2009 Ego do better than the 8? That gun had a crippling design flaw!

can you add car values over time to the chart? make them all fit by having the vertical axis in % of original value for both guns and cars? maybe an economobile, a sports car, and a luxury car. then add an x-mag just because.
