I play with an electro fairly often, and I honestly never burn paint with it. I almost always play hopper ball, and I refuse to engage unless I know I have the shot. Most days I go through 300 paintballs at the most.

Just for grins and giggles, I put a 10 round stick feed and a 13/3000 on my Axe and set it on semi. Turns out, it was a lot of fun!

There's a difference between a high end electro and the typical mid end electros. If you're use to high end pumps, then you'll need something on that same level in quality and performance. Until I touched high ends, the mid level ones were considerably cheap feeling compared to my CCM S6 and felt "pointless" to own. Once I dabbled with Ego's and other high ends, it was understandable in what I was missing in terms of customization and quality.

Stick feed + Any Electro = Most fun I have ever had.

That is what I have been trying to tell him Ir0nExpress..

High end Electronic markers are the way to go if you ever want to play Semi.
