Liar. You've just been misguided into thinking that spouting off that something is "too long to read" means you're somehow superior than said post. Short posts are worthless, just static. Idle chit chat and meaningless declarations. Totally worthless. Give me posts with meat! Give me posts with thought! If I want 140 characters or less I'd be on twitter.

Prove me wrong...

...read the post.

I can already see pump coming up with a vengeance at some local fields. It's awesome, my friend is getting interested in it, my cousin is interested (he doesn't even play yet).. pistols are making a bit of a growth spurt but I can see people just not getting into it as much as they thought.

and mag fed/first strike is going to blow up pretty soon

I hope you are correct... but I don't think its going to "blow up" as much as you think it will.

While I am sure mag fed use will expand, a poster above you said it correctly when he stated that the manufacture who produces the cheapest mags wins (or something along those lines). In order for mag fed to be practical and fun, you have to have enough mags to allow you to play for an extended time frame. Extra mags are expensive and reloading mags on the field is a pain. Furthermore, I just don't see a young, entry level kid spending more money on mags for his Hammer7 (for example). I see him just using a hopper and buying more paint, or just saving the money on mags to upgrade to a better gun.

FS is cool, and "better" than traditional paintballs yes.... but again the issue is cost. Buy more paint and play longer or shoot a little farther? For your avg rec baller who plays on smaller type concept fields the advantages to FS are even limited since you are already within (or close to within) the max range of a standard paintball from the start box anyways.

Short version for those to lazy to read:

I think mag/FS use will increase slightly, but I don't think it will dramatically increase since there are still significant added costs to their use over standard .68

So exactly which mag fed, FS compatible, pump would be better than a Hammer 7? We may get more players who only buy something new when it actually does something significantly different, and not just because its a higher status symbol.

With field owners concentrating on "more players", instead of "more paint" it's doubtful that smaller concept fields would be considered "average".

Sooooo... You admit to not reading the post, and the imply that it is not worth reading based on the length alone...
Do you realize this is the textbook definition of trolling and flaming?

You will be infracted, think before you post.

OP I can only hope you're correct, although there sure is some "wishful thinking" in there.

The gog enMey will make a big contribution to the "back to basics" play. That gun is going to be a big hit, and I'm glad! If it proves reliable, it will be the perfect paintball gun IMO: you can shoot just as fast as you can pull a single mechanical trigger, without the downsides of being a blowback.

First Strikes imo are best suited to large scenario fields with either no canopy or a very tall one.
