I just came across this. You can pan 360 degrees with it, and as the viewer, you can choose what part you want to watch. Imagine this mounted on top of your head.

Watch this video, and tell me this wouldn't be awesome on a field.

YOU CHOOSE THE ACTION.

I would love to see this in Racing as well.

Looks awesome! That would be handy to see where you got shot from, or how you got flanked, etc.

too bad the universal camera price tag is $700. Wonder if you could make something up cheaper with the Iphone mount. Seems like it would possibly present a large target though.

I messaged them to see if they're going to develop anything for the GoPro. If enough people showed interest, I bet they would at least consider it.

From what I saw, and maybe I didn't see enough about it, are you playing or filming. It seems like you would need to keep and eye on what is being filmed at all times, so to take away from your ability to just play.

Seemed like you would do both, like what many do with helmet/marker cameras already. Just lets you to have a 360* view around the photographer, which could show a lot more interesting things.

I think you'd be pretty disappointed by it, the lens is not sharp at all, and that's with a stable shot, add in motion and a lower-res camera...serious motion sickness I think haha.

2nd video (snowboarding one) has a good amount of motion and I wasn't feeling sick. If you could adapt it to a go pro it would work well in HD.

And anything mounted on top of your head has terrible viewing angles such as the go pro.

Again, if you do this, are you playing, or filming? Have you tried to film something good, while playing? It's why people have barrel cams and helmet cams. So they can play, and not worry about the filming. Look at several of the people that make good paintball videos, like the guys out of Oregon (Name escapes at the moment, they shoot the Supergames, as well as alot of other big games and scenario games out in the area). They don't play, just film. Or if they do anything that involves filming, and playing, they rely on helmet and barrel cameras.
