Best knee pads to wear under pants? Opinions please!

I am looking to pick up a pair of knee pads to wear under my Empire pants so that I stop destroying my knees when sliding into bunkers on the airball field.

I'd like something that breathes well, and stays put. They don't have to be thick, just add a bit of cushion so my pants don't tear at my skin when I slide.

Opinions?

Pay the big bucks and spring for the Dye knee pads. I went through a few different pairs of knee pads before I landed on these and I wish I'd come around sooner. You won't regret it.

I like the planet eclipse overload line of knee pads. They fit well, don't pinch, and breath well enough for a pad. Nothing is perfect, but they have lasted me years of use under my pants.

Volleyball knee pads work great and cost a lot less.

The best I think of is the latest DYE ones or the second best is Eclipse though if your on a budget the older versions should still be fine and DYE are only slightly better but much more expensive.

The biggest problem I have with knee pads is keeping them up my thigh is fatter then my knee and my leg rapers down from my knee to ankle so my knee pads will always slide down from running and sliding.

Best ones for me have been the onee and shin pad combos they have more spots to secure them and hold on longer.

have been using some soft baseball knee pads recently they are real small light and cheap. They hold on alright and are easy to slip back up through my pants between points

I used these for some time. The trouble is the elastic doesn't hold up so well and they would often end up around my ankles midway through a game.

DYE is nice stuff; the best I've tried. I've got a gently used pair of 09s for ya depending on your sizes - I've got a knee brace that makes them useless to me now.

I'm probably somewhere between a medium/large according to the DYE sizing chart.

I think these are "large" but if they're too big an extra long toss in the dryer should knock half a size off them.
