The UVEX "Futura" goggle was "Industry Standard" for Paintball Rental goggles, until UVEX said "You're doing WHAT with our goggles?" and laid down a "Cease and Desist" order, pulled that particular model from the shelves, re-formulated the frames so they wouldn't hold up to Paintball, and packaged them with an extensive disclaimer.

I would suspect that they would feel the same regarding this product.

Too bad for them I guess, they make a dang nice product. I'd love to see what their fertile minds could dream up for Paintball.............

Don't get creative with masks. Buy them off the shelf from reputable manufacturers, designed and certified for paintball. That way if your eyesight gets knocked out because of a defective mask you can at least sue for damages. Build one yourself or get funky with a non-paintball product and you are SOL.

Damages aren't worth your eyes. Certify your own damn masks with extensive testing!

Steel ball bearings are not out of the question here.

I can't wait until a mask like that is made for paintball. It could finally replace the fishbowl I wear on my head.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid ever, because this is just a ride." And we ... kill those people." - William Melvin Hicks

I agree that I would love to see some changing things up in the goggle markets. The current makers are all stuck in the rut of the looks they have. Get some other variants out there like a full face, or some other crazy stuff out there...if it gets stamped with the applicable certs then honestly no field should restrict them....IMO.
