The Nel Spot 007 #50

First off, I feel it's only proper to start this post by me with a huge thanks to my new friend Amcaff Doode, YOU ROCK!
Best way for me to sum up how I feel about this marker is... I've finally found a paint pistol that will help make my game allot less effortless.

Yea, I haven't come across that many short barreled markers to know exactly what would compete against it, but... As of now, I'm greatly satisfied.
The range is great and is very accurate within 75'. The bore (surprisingly small) after a little elbow grease was applied exposed a satisfactory gloss, though it does reveal it's age with two minor pitting at the middle and what seems like some sought of a rifleling etchings is a diminishing spiral fashion.

The pump is firm, but smooth. It has a red hammer spring in it that I know is the cause for some rather high velocity. I suspect the latter may have caused a break. Surprisingly enough, the rest of the shots where almost as accurate as the first few. This beast is rather loud, and I felt a bit uncomfortable in my quiet suburban hood, and called it quits after two cigar tubes full.
There are a couple of things missing to complete this package. One is the safety; the other is the bottom line powerlet compression screw.
Also, the nueb in me had a tough time distinguishing the logo in the back of the dropout valve nut. I like the design as it seem vaguely familiar.

I'm sure most of you might want to shed some light on this and why the bore of the barrel seems as though it actually is rifled?

Note: This Nel Spot 007 has a fixed barrel.

The spirals are the steel tooling marks.

Beautiful 007.

Mine is tore down for fresh paint right now. I am still trying to decide "stock Co2 vs dropout valve". Post back again and tell us how it works in a game.

If you're coming down to Camp this Saturday for Comovartia's pump game, bring it along, we can duel with Nelspots in the Gauntlet

I can't wait to read about how you like it on the field.

Yes I agree early Taso! As for the bottom line powerlet compression screw check out Bacci Paintball parts thread. He has LOTS of parts.

I had originally planned to take off from work just for this event, as I only reserve such a treat for special occasions only. But a last minute trip to the west coast will take precience over everything else. At least it's a pleasure trip and nothing lame... Otherwise I would have taken honor in a duel with you. I can't remember if we even had a chance to challange each other the last time at Camp for the one on one tourny.
I'm really going to like this 007 mainly cause I prefer to play close up, I never quite got the hang of it with my PGP's. I think getting close up to an opponent helps build stronger realtionships between mates. Don't you think

I was head ref for that event, so no one challenged me
