Did Tippmann get sold to some multi-national corporation and isn't a family owned business anymore?

If you squint, it kinda looks like a cheesy 3 legged squid alien from an old Dr. Who episode.

Yes actually tippmann sold out. It is now owned by some investment bankers or something like that. They are trying to compete with the ion obviously.... but this thing is hideous.

It's ugly, but I bet it'll perform pretty much like a 98.

Also, I believe it's aimed at younger players. Mom n Dad make a (fairly) small investment to see if their kid likes the game and then move up from there or sell it and get some of their money back.

It's just another option, really. I wouldn't buy one, but I don't have a problem with this gun.

Have you looked at a new Chevy V8? They started doing composite intake manifolds in 97, plastic valve covers, etc. The conversion has begun. I personally would rather have a transparent aluminum block.

I think the marker is hideous. I'm still expecting it to be 98/A5 guts though. Something to compete with the WallyMart spyder clone specials.

I guess we will have to take extremely good care of our tippmanns now, to show paintballers to come what it used to be like, Back in the day......
