Paintballs in a real shotgun

Found this on YouTube. A guy made his own cartridges with smaller powder charges to fire paintballs.

Now that is pump action.

Hurt like hell relative to the current simunitions? Because those ones are already uber-nasty.

Figure on the same or slightly better still not good for long range of course, just not enough weight to go real far and not be um, bad up close.

I did this a few years ago with a simple shotgun shell loader and my buddy's mossberg. The paintballs never made it out of the barrel unbroken, but airsoft bbs worked pretty well . We used just the primer as propellant and a plastic sabot/wad.

Similcrum training ammo. I have seen them before when I was in the Navy, but never got to try any out.

The sim-munitions suck! We used them on my last excercise. I got popped in the forearm from about 10 feet away and I thought it broke my arm.

At least with the sim-munitions you know you were actually shot. The miles gear I used was like laser tag, and was kind of lame.

True. We did play around with the Miles before they junked it...it was rahter lame.

The sim rounds however are also used for less than leathal riot qwelling. We had few from the 240 break a side window out of our hummer. Before I left I was gonna bring the radarcrono and see what kinda FPS they we shooting...the Cadre claimed 800 fps.

This might be something to try, but I doubt it would cycle my shotgun. Not on a human though...

Wonder what choke would be suitible?
