I wear mine, because I jump alot when I play. so I don't like my mask sliding.

I think they're uncomfortable for the most part, but like Legato, I always feel nervous if I don't have it connected. With my luck the day I don't wear it I'll be running past a branch that would snag the bottom of my mask somehow and rip it right over my head... Better safe than sorry IMO.

If the mask has it, I wear it. I don't want it flapping all around while I'm trying to play

My invisions have the strap but that's it

Either my masks didn't have a strap to begin with or I cut em off.

They're a safety feature and I DO wear them.

They make most sense when playing with high rate-of-fire guns - getting a string of 15 paintballs to the face will REMOVE most masks, if the angle is right. A chin strap prevents this, possibly saving your eyes.

FWIW, they don't need to be worn tight, if that's what bothers people. Get them loose enough to put a finger between the strap and your chin. It shouldn't tug against your face unless you attempt to lift the mask up.

Even so, you should be able to remove your mask with the chin strap attached. It's really only designed to prevent a string of paint from lifting the mask.

Which masks have them? I've never owned one that did.

Most (if not all) of the JT masks come with straps. I don't think anyone I play with still has a strap on their mask though.

I have a few V-Force mask with chin straps. I use them. They come in handy when you are running in the woods and your mask gets snagged.

None of the masks that I have ever had have come with a chin strap. These are mostly JT Flex masks and V-Force Morph/Grillz
