No point in a pre-order as they are already made and in my possession. Just need to finish setting up to anodize them and I will have them available pending any "oh-****" findings from suby

I'll make sure to let you know whey they are ready though, I'm as anxious as anybody to get them rolling.

So, what is the advantage of this on an Enmey?
And how hard and pretty is it once done?

I had a mech smartparts ion with a closed bolt mod. The coolness factor went way up. The mod made the ion's sound signature a lot less. As soon as the mod is available for the enmey I am getting one. Love my cheap little gun and can't wait to drop this in.

They are definitely fun to shoot.

Biggest thing, IMHO, is the efficiency. And while the efficiency - as in most any gun - can vary greatly with your individual setup, it is typically significantly higher than a regular Ion. 1600 - 2300 depending on all factors (paint weight, paint to barrel match, choice to use or not use a QEV, length and cleanliness of rear tube routing [can greatly impact how quickly the valve retracts], velocity) is typical.

Poor barrel match, no QEV, sub-par tube routing, large paint, 300FPS would probably be around 1600. Solid underbore, QEV, carefully routed rear hose, typical for today paint, 290FPS is what gets you to 2300.

This is all from the classic version, the XE version hasn't been tested enough to give a solid range yet, but I suspect very similar but more tunable due to the oversize valve chamber leaving room for devolumizing where I already removed the volume in the classic kit.

As far as installing in an enmey, it takes putting a hole into the body (plastic body) where it meets the frame behind the rear frame screw (not visible when assembled) and a small channel to be cut into the frame around the rear frame screw. Disassemble the trigger valve and flip it so the output hose faces the back of the frame. Remove the large front hose and replace with provided tubing and fitting. Possibly replace the tubing that is from the output port of the trigger valve, but it may be long enough as is (very close either way). The back cap is styled differently and sticks out a little bit further, but is removable by hand.

I'll check one out. Let me know when the Enmey kit is available.
