Dye hyper 3 problem. Need help fast!!!

Traded a friend a dye hyper 3 i purchased brand new and never aired up, all i did was back it out all the way.

When he put it on his DM4, it overpressurized. What is Wrong?

the hyper 2 and 3 are opposite of most regulators; there's a real reason to read manuals before you mess with regulators.

screw in in for lower pressure, screw it out for higher pressure.
