I've got a PMR vertical ASA that I can't put a reg into (will only thread about 3/4 turn in). It won't take an empire reg, an ion reg, or anything. I even took it off the gun and tried my plethora of tanks in it. The only thing I could get to fit was an off-brand asa to 1/4 npt adapter (threads all the way in).

The only thing that I can think of is that maybe proto used a non-standard asa tap to fit the hyper 2 (which I don't have).

So, what to do? I've tried using a rubber band wrench on the asa while holding the reg and I can't get it to budge.

After I couldn't get the stock one to work I ordered a different one to see if it would work and it doesn't.

So if anyone has any helpful ideas or insight, it would be appreciated.
