| ⊥ɥǝ Iuɟl!ɔʇǝp | The bolt bumper on my 09 UL SLG is wearing unreasonably quickly.
I have not been impressed with the rate at which my 09 UL SLG seems to be tearing up its rear bolt bumpers. It shredded the one that came on the gun in less than a case. I cleaned everything, installed a fresh one, lubed up the bolt, and after about 800 shots yesterday it now looks like this: ![]() Why is the gun destroying its seals so quickly? |

Have you checked for burrs in the slots where the bolt resides? Also you have to check the inside bolt chamber for any rough spots that would cause it to wear so quickly.

I really think they just had a 5 year old design the 09 slg.. the rails on them are complete crap too. They use a set screw kinda thing through the weak plastic grip frame so it tears out really easily forcing you to have to buy a real rail for the gun.

its probably not necessary.. the use of the bumper is likely only to help absorb any kick the bolt is putting into the body of the marker.
