$100 for a $10 marker

Vulcan Series 5000 Pump Paintball Marker | eBay

I remember seeing these are Wal-Mart for like $5 or $10 bucks back in the day.

$100 just seems a bit steep.

I think these went for a bit more than five or ten dollars, and at K-mart if I'm not mistaken. I am a bit nostalgic for this gun as one of my buddies got one when we were all shooting Talons. We thought he was going to climb trees and snipe us all!

$99 is still way more than this gun will sell for. One time on here a seller wanted $15 or a 6-pack of beer at EMR. It still sat.

Does that mean we're no longer able to give our honest opinions about the subject?

Painthappy: I figured it would find it's own set of rules... really.... Not intended for people to post a place with porn links left and right...

But really a place where you can loosen your tie... We'll see what happens. I figure that with the right set of people to begin with, we could have a good forum.

Otherwise it could go right down the drain...

So we'll see.

I don't think there's a need to hold back on opinions. Knowing that they're a member might mean you ask them directly and / or take some tact in your approach to the subject.

Price is always subjective. He might be high on the price, might not... mainly depends on what folks are willing to pay for an item. That said, this section is more for unique / one-off / oddball items, not overpriced items which Ebay and Craigslist have an abundance of. Note Luke's sticky at the top of this forum on the subject...

I am also a bit nostalgic for these... my brother had one and we spent many a day sitting dreaming about paintball with that gun in our hands. I would love to have one, just not for $100.

I agree, price is always subjective. However supply always = demand and demand for these is very very low.

I would also comment that this item is unique. I am sure that many... many of these where made. However, I don't think that many survived due to the low quality plastic that was used in the construction.

I have only seen like one or two others of these for sale in the past few years. If I am wrong please point me to the sales threads as I would love to pick one of these up just for old times sakes.

I didn't post this with the intent to embarrass the seller or start a major discussion. I was more interested to find out what others thought on the price.
