Buy/Sell/Trade Rules
The rules are simple:

1) Post an ad not a link
Please make an actual sales ad, not a link to another site or forum.

2) State a price
Please be courteous and state a price when selling something. If you don't know what it is worth, then you can still post and ask what people think it may be worth....

We're trying to avoid the "make me an offer" posts. They are just not allowed.

It's easier to sell when you state the price. It avoids pointless e-mails to the seller, and potential buyers don't get tense from the fear of making a low ball offer.

3) No, "Who can make a better offer" posts
Please ask for a price and if it's that price or best offer below that price. No fishing for higher prices. Please take your fishing to pbnation.

4) No "Fishing" Allowed
If you are unaware of what a gun's price should be... Then ask. Otherwise, any price drastically over the MCB Blue Book price will be frowned upon. Over excessive pricing will my get your thread closed.

If a higher price is placed because you are unsure of the cost, you must still observe rule 3.

5) Be honest about the condition
We'd all love to think our guns condition is the best, but be honest, and fully disclose any issues that the gun has.

6) We have a higher standard here, even our overseas friends who's native language is not English can make an attempt. We expect no less from other members.

We don't expect every word to be perfect, but by using "U" instead of "You" and similiar shortcuts shows you're not even trying. Posts may be locked or deleted.

7) You do not need to add @#$! characters to the title
Do not add extra characters to your titles and posts. By characters we are referring to the "shift + numberkey" symbols. Eg: !@#$%^&*
This is not needed to draw attention to your post. If a post is like this, we may ask you to remove them, or the post may just be deleted all together.

8) Upping your Post
Yes, sometimes your post will fall back a page or two. You may "UP" the post by replying to it once every 24 hours. By doing it more often, you risk having the post locked.

9) No PayPal (or other payment processing system) % please
Do not make a sales price and then add that the buyer must pay an additional % to cover your PayPal (or other payment processing system) fees. Those fees are for the SELLER, not the BUYER. If you want to cover those standard selling/transaction fees please adjust your sales price accordingly before setting the price.

Thank You.

General Rules
These are rules that go for all forums. Rules already posted in the Buy/Sell/Trade section is considered a given and continue over to this section.

1) Be courteous to other members
Direct flaming of other members will not be tolerated, and will most likely result in a temporary ban.

2) No Spam
As the title says. Do not post unrelated links that would be seen as spam/unwanted posts

3) Signatures
Please try to keep them under 10 lines. Other then that we have no set rule, but if the Moderators or Admins feel that it is too long, please do not argue with them.

4) Posting in the Wrong Forum
If there is a post in the wrong forum, and Admin or Moderator will most likely move it. There will normally be a redirect to the new location, but not always. Please look before asking where it went. Use the search feature.

5) Political threads are Limited
We all have different points of view. But we come together to talk about and share our experiences with Paintball! Political threads of a non-abrasive nature will be allowed, but it may quickly be locked if it gets out of hand. This falls back to the courteous rule. Do not attack a member for any reason, this will also result in a temporary ban, or warning depending on the situation.

6)Banning and Temporary Banning
From time to time, though currently it is rare to next to never, we may have to warn, or temporarily ban someone. Temporary Bans last anywhere from 1 to 10 days. On the odd occasion 30 days. Beyond that, a Permanent ban will settle in.

Warnings and Temporary Bans are Accrued. Meaning: That after so many, the bans become more severe. Please learn from your mistakes and try to follow the rules set forth. Do NOT argue over a ban, as it will do you no good. If you feel it was done in error, or a gross injustice was performed upon you, please contact me directly at: painthappy@gmail.com

Posting News
If you are an MCB Premium Member, you can post news in the "In The News" forum and it will automatically get posted to the Main Page for everyone to read.

Please keep this news section as Paintball Related as possible. New product releases, tournament schedules, press releases, and company information should all go here.

News comes out quick, and since everyone in the MCB Premium Membership can post, we should always be up to date and informed.

Remember: News and reviews appearing on the front page form the face of the MCB community and, as such, may be moved and/or edited as deemed appropriate if their content is not up to our high standards.

How to Post a Review
An example of a comprehensive review can be found here:
http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4516

Please try to include pictures with your reviews. Have the review be as neutral as possible. Meaning: You're not pushing the product just because you like the company, or bashing the product for the same reason. Give both good and bad points.

Don't expect the reader to know everything about the product. Go into detail, and explain where needed.

Reviews will automatically be posted on the Main Page for everyone to see, so remember that everyone will be reading it. Make sure it is of the quality that you want them to read.
