.675 freak inserts

I just thought I'd try to find out how much interest there is in .675 freak inserts. I currantly have a machinist making some toy car parts that I'm selling internationally and will be asking his soon if he can make me some small freak inserts. I want to get an idea how many I should get made (If me and Dunx are the only ones, it won't make sence to make them on a cnc). I know he is staying busy with the toy car parts so I'm not thinking of selling inserts outside of Ottawa but don't want anyone left out I'm thinking I might just get a small run made and once all the locals have them ship the rest out.

I probably should of added that to the first post, I'm thinking aluminum as they'll be easier to machine, brass or stainless will cost considerably more, and by beveled, do you mean basically rounding the inner edges, or a short taper like a tippmann barrel?

Uhhh Tymcneer makes brass inserts in 670 675 680 and 685...

$30 a piece. And he is doing them in bigger runs than what you will sell here in Ottawa

I would suggest doing a group order with him to save onshipping.

With aluminum I should be able to sell them for considerably less again, depending on demand I could probably get any size your heart desires made.

well if they are less price than tys are good quality and fit well
I would love a .675 insert. And yeah beveled inner edge on one side
to prevent breaks like the freak inserts have.

I'm not saying your guy is not good but I don't think this is really worth the effort.

Ty's brass is well worth the price. I have his 675 and will be getting a 680 soon.

GOG is making aluminum ones in 675 677 and up now.

The bevel only needs to be big enough to remove the starp lip at the front. The ones on the freak inserts and Ty's is only about 1/8".

If you could do .665 or .660 I would be interested, I use ty's 670 most times and it still seems to be a little loose.

Unfortunatly my guy doesn't have a reamer close to the right size and it doesn't make sence to buy one, so we've found some tubing with a .68 ID so I'll be trying that but it won't be that small, unfortunatly the next size down is .652 which would be far too small.
