3D printing the dial might work, but I'm pretty sure you would not be able to print the whole thing. It might not be all that hard to make the whole thing with the HHA concept for cheaper, but I think it would need to be out of something like aluminum to hold up and eliminate unwanted movement and flex in the mount.

On the original dial, I had sighted in at 30 yards and got out to about 65 or 70. That is shooting about 280-285 fps. If you were to shoot at 300, you might get a little more range but the further out it goes, the more rotation is needed due to the FS slowing down. Out to about 80 yards, the increments were pretty consistent, for 90 and 100, it increased a lot so if you sight in the original out further, it will probably have even less range.

With my gopro setup, I created a mount that slips around the eyepiece and can be easily removed if a problem occurs and you need to use the scope like it's supposed to be used. I have the extended battery pack on it so it will last for a few hours and got a pair of the virtual tv glasses and dissected them to create a little monitor that mounts inside my goggles (supposed to look like you're looking at a 50" tv screen) and I replaced the lens with a 16mm so that most of the picture is of the view thru the scope instead of a big, black screen with a little picture in the middle. I found the lens was cheap and didn't have any IR filtering so I picked up an IR/UV filter lens and it works great and I think I can remove that and get an IR illuminator and have a nightvision scope, but haven't messed with that yet. It gives a great view and doesn't block much of your normal vision. The main problems I was having was fogging, fitting it in comfortably, which I think I've solved now, and the interconnection box isn't the most durable, but I'm working on that. I'll probably do a separate write up on the setup once I test some more.

This was before I shrunk it down more,

I am quite amazed by your ingenuity. Folks, it works! Being able to look through your scope and record at the same time using what feels like google glasses, its quite amazing. Matt, thanks for showing me your prototype. I hope you keep working on it, refining it and hopefully, have a rugged piece of equipment that will make paintball first strike sniping more fun and enjoyable.

That's badass! How is the display connected to the Gopro/what video outputs does the Gopro have? Also, what video glasses were these?

The gopro (at least the original Hero 1) has both component and composite video out. I combined the composite cable from the gopro and the cable from the MyVu Crystal 701 glasses to make my own cable. Here's a quick screen shot of the view I get thru the scope....
