My cat pisses on everything

I have two cats, one that will go in it's litterbox even if 30' up in the air.

But then there's Mac. Who is a pain in the ***. He pisses in the bath tub, in the sink, on my hamper, and on the bed.

He doesn't have bladder infection or any illness. I also clean out their litter box at least twice a day.

Is there someone I can hire like a cat whisperer to make him start going in his box?
I don't want to have to get rid of him.

Not sure about solutions for that. But I have a cat that is kind of the same way. Ours sleep in the garage and spend most of their time outside. However when the fancy strikes her she likes to pee on things in the rafters in our garage or on my workbench. We don't really know why either.

Male cats often do that. Particularly those that aren't neutered. Is he fixed?

There are lots of reasons, other than basic UTI's, that cause this. We had a tom cat with this same problem years ago. Bring him to the vet for a full check-up.

You could also try putting out a separate litter box...some cats don't like 'sharing'. Or, try a different brand litter.

it might be good to take that cat to the litterbox everytime you see it, it will help eventually

If there's one place he goes in particular, like behind a chair, you can put an office chair mat upside down so the spikes that usually grip the carpet poke any cats that walk over it. It's worked pretty well for my neighbors.

We have a little bitch cat that if the litter isn't changed often or if there is a towel or coat or area type rug out she will piss on it. Which of course causes one of our other little bitch cats to piss on the spot to cover the other little bitches scent. Other than cleaning the hell out of those spots there is only one thing I can recommend other than a vet visit.

Catch them at it, rub their little faces right in their own piss while yelling NO NO NO as loud as you can while smacking them on the back of the head and then firmly deposit them in their litter box. Its about the only thing that has ever worked for me and my many cats over the years.

Talk to a vet and see what they reccomend......

If you can find some sort of epic cat whisperer than go for it...

I filled up the bath tub and sink with about a 1/2 inch of water. You can't really tell there's water in it.

Hopefully that'll work.

thanks everybody for you're input so far
