Getting a CBR600rr or Ninja ZX-6R soon... gotta get back into riding. Insurance is gonna kick my *** though, for full coverage at least Liability is a good quote but crappy coverage. Which is why I considered getting another 250.

Or a Daytona 675. Love the Daytona. No Gixxers or R6's. Hate those.

My 2011 Bonnie is an EFI model. It's got some quirks, but when you dial it in, EFI is a godsend.

Mine is a 2010. I haven't had it long enough to have noticed anything negative related to the EFI. Some stuff I read online suggested some people have problems with hard starting but mine certainly doesn't seem to have any such problems. I took it out today for a brief ride in the balmy 45 degree weather and she ran like a top. I admit I'm already considering the purchase of the Brittish Customs performance package though. I'd like some more sound and fury. The ECU reflash scares me though, I'd hate to break my new toy.

What do you hate about gixxers?

I'm getting the bike bug again really bad. Lovin' the look of an 86' gixxer. By far one of my favorite bikes.

I love the 80's.

Theres two kinds of people who buy gixxers, those that couldnt afford a busa, and those that ride in wife beaters and flip flops.

They're too common ... I don't like how they look ... and their fit and finish isn't as good as Honda or Kawasaki.

I agree, I've always leaned more towards the Daytona than Japanese bikes.

I picked one up in the off-season, just riding around an underground parking lot put a big grin on my face

Personally, I've always been a fan of the Gixxers. For some reason they're more comfortable to me.

Weirdly, I love the idea of being different, but if I was buying a sport bike, it wouldn't matter that much to me.

I'm a SUMO guy, though.
