I don't think airsoft is for me. I like to run around in circles like a child shooting bath beads with shiny guns.
Actually, I thought the grenade slides and the death of the evil professor (with picture in picture) would sort of neuter the serious angle.

On the other hand, I really don't see the problem with a serious tone either. It's entertainment, much like any action movie.

Now, if only the actual games would play out the same way. But it's usually sloooow, and a far cry from the epic action movie come to life that it's marketed as.

Would being a combination of Darth Vader and Halo be considered role playing?
I saw both in the newspaper today and thought they would make an awesome combination for the next paintball game.

I dig the teamwork but lack of impact is a killer...

I actually have found paintball to be pretty lame the older I get... Typical walk on days amount to tag on steroids, super short games and the every man for himself attitude leaves me feeling pretty dissatisfied lately.

I do prefer the paintball tech even with our limited accuracy capabilities. Though I think FS clip fed markers will one day be very common and the rounds will likely drop in price as time goes on. This trend will change the game dramatically.

I have been eying the dark side as at least it appears that there is some some teamwork, possibly the effective use of radios, strategy etc. I am slightly put off by what appears to be the ultra serious military motif which has kept me from joining in thus far. Nothing wrong with camo, and tactics but when you forget its just play time for big boys/girls then I'm out.
