SVT shoots great. Although the bore is not in the best condition, it still shoots spot on.

I've been trying, thought admittedly not very hard, to get my hands on an FAL. Now with the hysteria going on, everyone wants stupid money for them.

I owned a SVT briefly a couple of years back. It was clean and in perfection condition and although im a big fan of 54r, it wasn't what I thought it would be. The main issue I had was 1 out 5 rounds were not ejecting properly and the bolt you get "stuck". To the point I would have to wrap a belt around the bolt handle and stomp on it to release. Ended up selling it quickly.

One of the first rifles i shot was my friends FAL and it literally pains me that I'm not allowed to own one.

now that you have the FAL you can get the RRA ar10 and a kel tec rfb to share mags...i have the ar10 and fal and have been waiting for the rfbs to drop in price...apparently that isnt happening now though. :/
on the bright side its been fun watching everything that I do own triple in value.

@monty: Its funny that you should mention that. The same thing happened to mine. Its not as frequent, but it will occasionally not eject a round right. The one time the bolt locked up was actually not the guns fault. One of the prongs that held the Mag in snapped off and got jammed in the mechanism.

@ripdisc: I have no desire to own that KelTec 308. Way too many problems with it to justify buying one.

that's why I held off. that and they were sitting around 1800 and i was hoping they would get around 1400. the newer ones seem to be getting better reviews. but they seem to be selling around 2500+ atm and im not paying that. very cool design and it would just fit with my other 308s using the FAL mags, but if it gets banned they might not be perfected.

that scar sure is nice!

Yeah. Its probably one of the smoothest shooting 5.56 rifles Ive shot. The recoil is almost nil as well.
