Brother Jerry - take a day trip (or a weekend trip) to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola

It is a really nice museum, worth the trip . . . and they have a Corsair on display there.

This is me by the P40 they have there, trying to mimic a pic of my Grandfather next to one he flew early in WW2

i just bought a book about a p-40 that was found frozen in a glacier , recovered and restored piece by piece to flight status !

Always loved planes in particular WW2 stuff, Ive made the trip twice to Reading PA for Mid Atlantic Air museams WW2 weekend.

Best part was going for a flight on the B17. Amazing is all I can say.

Yeah I am working on making it back up there...has been a couple of decades since I was there. Took the kids over to Mobile a couple years back to see the U.S.S. Alabama and they have some birds out front too. That was a fun trip as well. They just don't make them like they used too.

I dont't know how long it's been since you were in Mobile but, they have an SR-71 there. It's awesome!


I work on jets but, here is one of the planes I work on. It is painted special for the 100th anniversary of Naval Aviation.

Here is the WWII era plane it was painted to resemble:
