Well, that was fun.

Official report for the airport was 52.1cm (20.5 inches) with winds peaking at 111km/h (69mph). Not too far away, they estimate the snowfall ended up being 70-90cm! (27.6-35.4 inches).

Was without power for 21 hours, got it back just in time to not see my own breath inside the house. Had a 5-foot drift in front of my door, but my car was almost on bare pavement (my street's a bit of a wind tunnel). How did you fare, 240SX?

Actually, in '98 there was a huge storm in St. Catharines on April 1st. We got 3 feet of snow. It was impressive.


As for the OP: I hope all is well, man. I read on the news that it's probably gonna be some time before they've got the roads plowed. I wasn't sure if that was because of the snow, or because it's just Newfoundland.

We lost our power for 15 hours and between clearing my driveway and my buddies (who just had surgery this week) I managed to tweak my back. We're all good now, I'm hopped up on pain killers and it's warm in my house.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "just Newfoundland" but the snow clearing here is excellent due to the fact of us being used to getting lots of snow in the winter, unlike other parts of the country that declare a state of emergency if they get 6" of snow and there's tons of accidents because no one knows how to drive in it.

I miss NL sometimes, but definitely not this week.

I have to giggle at the people in Vancouver trying to drive RWD cars with summer tires uphill after we have had the annual few inches of snow though.

Lol I live just in thorold there razrbakk and I remember that storm. I also remember getting all our snow for the year in 2 weeks in the winter of 98-99 public busses actually stopped running. Last big one was April of 05 we got a couple feet in one day

We've got a couple feet up here. Started last week Wednesday/Thursday and finished yesterday.
