I was skiing in WV many years ago, and experienced -26*F, without wind chill. The wind chill took it down to around -40 or something silly cold. Needless to say we would make two runs, and then spend some time in the lodge warming up... Those long chairlift rides were killer, especially when it stopped for a few minutes to clear out the fools that fall

I think the coldest I've ever felt was around -40*C with the windchill in ottawa, I went camping with Scouts at -30*C years ago! The hottest was 46*C with the humidex

I think -43C (not accounting for wind chill). It was pretty damned cold.

I've probably easily worked out on construction sites when it was below 0 with a windchill... definitly in temps below freezing.

Hottest would have been in 93 when I went on a trip with my family to the Grand Canyon.. I think it was about 110 on the River at the bottom of the Canyon, but there is next to no humidity so it's not uncomfortable like Florida heat.

Let's see, I can't touch most of you Canucks about the cold, I did get a few days of -35F without the windchill in Duluth, MN when I was a kid. The heat, though. Dang, sweltering here in Arkansas, Most I have seen is 117F in August, but then again, that's while I was laying asphalt (350F out of the truck), so the thing that bothered me most was the 90% relative humidity.

You guys might as well be what with the snow, and the accents, and the hockey. Hell, I've heard that in a border town of Alaska/Yukon Terr. the RCMP and Alaska Staties will respond across the border depending on who's closer
