Anyone ever do one of those kind of deals???

I was going to hold shipment until the M.O. clears any help appreciated...

That was one of the only ways to pay back before PayPal. Money Orders are exactly like a check except they are purchased through the Post Office, so funds are guaranteed. Just wait to ship until you receive the funds, just like any other item you sell.

Hold until you get the MO. Unlike checks, there's no real "clearing" with them - they're just as liquid as cash.

A fake Money Order should be immediately reported. That is considered mail fraud, $15,000 fine and up to 5 years in jail if I remember correctly.

Only accept United States Postal Money orders. You can cash it at the post office before you ship the item. The ones from your local convenience store are way too easy to forge.
