That it is! It's incredibly inefficient, thus the bike. Absurd how bad the mileage is.

I've got a '94 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD. It's gone through five owners, including a city park department and a construction company, it's been repainted at least once, several of the body panels aren't original, there's a bump in the floor where the dirt from a million boot heels has built up a mound in front of the pedals, the engine has almost 350,000 original kilometers on it, the door handles only work occasionally, the tailgate handle doesn't work at all, the doors make funny noises when you open them, it takes about three solid seconds to shift from first to second, I got it with twelve empty cans of cheap beer and half a pack of smokes crammed in the glovebox and behind the seats, the book value of it varies heavily depending on how much gas is in the tank, it occasionally likes to leave a small trail of brake fluid, no matter how many times I fix the damn line, the starter is crap, it leaves a massive cloud of unburnt gas behind it when it starts in the cold and the seats don't fold forward any more.

And I love the absolute **** out of it.

I sometimes wonder what will bring my 95 F150 down. It will clear 270k in April, all mine.

well a locking gas cap that decided to not unlock was my downfall today. I drove to work thinking I'd gas up before the trip home. Nope - went to gas up at the station between work and the interstate and the gas cap would not unlock.

fine - nothing to do but hit the road and see what comes. I had one stop on the way (ford dealership parts counter no less, for a new flexpipe for my focus) and was doing fine till I was getting off the 5 onto the 78 east bound . . . and thats when the motor shut down and I was no longer trucking. I coasted as far as I could, nearly to the top of the jefferson st ramp, before inertia won out

I called my wife - she grabbed the can of gas for the mower and headed to meet me while I rummaged some tools out from behind the seat and tore that damn perma locked gas cap off the truck

of course my wife snapped this pic when she pulled up
