I am confused. So a picture of her allegedly being raped was sent around. Then it says the boys which would of been possessing and distributing child pornography had no charges filed. This does not seem right for some reason?

It doesnít, but proving this in a court is the problem. Without seeing the pic in question we donít know if she could have been identified as her, or any other an underage girl, to prove the crime. Also not mentioned is if she went to the police in a timely manner so evidence was gathered. Without evidence it really comes down to a he said/she said case, and those are unwinnable in court.

Regardless of the case, this is also a mental health failure. And another wake-up call to all of us who have friends and family who have suffered emotional trauma. Never stop trying to help.

Apparently RCMP were "unable" to gather enough evidence to definitively prove which one of the rapists took the photo. Whether or not that actually is the case, i do not know.

I wouldve thought that if RCMP leaned on them hard enough, the rapists would rat each other out.

^This. I'm 15, but even I can see that many of todays youth are going completely out of control because laws allow them to walk away with so little punishment much of the time. I'm was suprised to hear the amanda todd incident hapenned not too far away from me [port moody, I live in vancouver] but I'm glad this doesn't happen at my school.

So many groups, ect. have been started to help bully victims, to prevent cyberbullying, but it never makes a drastic difference. I wish there would be harsher punishments for these kids.

Don't forget to try the "rape is a cultural thing" defense.

Well, it depends. The kids who got in trouble a lot at an earlier age realized that you can get away with anything till your 18 (anything seen as a felony around age 17). And they abuse it.
I never realized how easy underage kids get away with things till I was 18-19 years old. It's quite ridiculous. Steal something and get caught, get a slap on the wrist and a phone call/talking to to your parents.
