Any other fans of OTR in here? I started listening to it when I got a new work vehicle that had XM and got hooked on the old detective stories. It's kind of awesome hearing some of the storis that came out around ww2 also because they have a lot of advertisements for war bonds and things, not to mention the old ads in general. I also got my wife hooked on some of them with me. Our favorites are, just to name a few...

Phillip Marlowe
Night Beat
Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar
Boston Blackie
Broadway Is My Beat

Anyone else ever listen to any of the old stuff? I drive a lot with work and this helps pass the time by, and it is a lot more entertaining than NPR. Chime In!

We download a lot when we have a computer handy, otherwise the app has a bunch of stuff already loaded onto it. My wife had a little stretch where she got into Abbott and Costello but I didn't see the humor like she did. The detective stories, mystery/murder stories, and police dramas are the best, in my opinion. Glad to hear I'm not the only person with a hankering for this stuff. Awesome!

I listened to them when I was a kid. My father was stationed in Morocco and we didn't have TV, so instead of Saturday morning cartoons, the base radio station would play old radio programs. I remember the Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet, and Chickenman.

You are so correct. I feel so ashamed.

My favorite channel on Sirius is Radio Classics. I've even exchanged emails with Greg Bell regarding show content.

I love Johnny Dollar, Escape, Dragnet and all of the old sci-fi shows.

I especially like the vintage commercials.

Yes I love old time radio when I can get it. Coincidentally, that is usually on NPR.

Don't listen to much these days since I'm on the phone so much now.
OTR was all I listened to when I used to work on fleet vehicles at night. There was an OTR station that came on AM radio at midnight.

Then, I switched to OTR on shoutcast.
