Is there any other company that you can order mostly what you want on your computer from?
One that has technical support that speaks English?
One that will not send you a piece of crap right out of the box?
One that when it says 6-10 days does not mean 3 weeks without a call and then you find it will be at least another 8 weeks plus on?
One that has a customer service that will not put you on hold for 15 mins then hang up on you.
One that you can e-mail without doing a hour of research for useless info they need?

The wonderful company that calls 2 weeks before Christmas opening by saying "Hi, this is so and so from Dell, we were wondering if you would be interested in purchasing an extended warranty for your new laptop?"

Said to the person receiving the laptop for Christmas.

Aside from their laptops (and most other company's laptops as well) buying prebuilt is an insane waste of money. I could pretty much wipe the floor with any of the higher end models by building it myself. It'd cost me less and work far far better.

I'd say go to a computer store near you. They can order the parts you need for you, plus they can fix whatever is wrong. Consider having a computer store, not a manufacturer, fix your computer for you.

I'm probably going to start boycotting any company that doesn't have customer service or technical reps in the US or Canada. I've been messing with a refund that United owes me for ONE YEAR due to terrible reps in India that NEVER get back to me and NEVER follow through on something they say they'll take care of. I literally have to start from scratch with the issue EVERY time I call them. Written appeals to US HQ have had no effect.
