Another thing to consider when researching breed choices is that most of the info available on the net is biased because it is written by people promoting their favorite breed. Be sure to dig deep for common problems, both medical and behavoiral.

| Post Whore Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Lexington, SC | Very true, we love our Schipperkes but they are prone to siezures. Belle has them the other Gunner does not. Siezures are easily taken care of with meds but you have to be very consistant with time and quantity so it can be a hassle. Good thing about Shipperkes is they are a long lived breed. Gunner is 15 and still acts like a puppy with a good 3-4 more years typically.
