Would anyone on here mill out a firearm part?

Hello all, Now it's not as bad as it sounds. What I want made is a Henry Golden Boy action cover. It's not really the firearms receiver but more so a cover that holds the bolt in, so a "gun" could not be made with the part.

So is there anyone on here that would make this part for me for reasonable price?

Thank you.

Check Sarco or one of the parts folks for a side plate. It will be cheaper than one offing one.

Edited spelling should have proof read.
Sarco is a gun parts outfit that has been around forever and have a lot of old stock around from all over the world.
Making a side plate from scratch is going to be pricey.

From what I gather you want to make it so this weapon cannot fire. I assume that you will want to be able to change it from hot to not. I suggest getting a spare bolt and cutting it so that it is no longer operational, maybe remove the firing pin. This way it still looks like a working stock gun, but doesn't actually work.

One-off ..... basically producing one part from scratch rather than a run of multiple parts. When you produce one item rather than many it costs lots of money for design and set up.

You can't just easily copy a part unless you have expensive CNC machines and programs to run them. If some one has a hand controlled mill, they need to do everything by hand, which means time and time = $.

If you can't get the part from Sarco, then you may need to hit up a gunsmith.. someone might have one laying around...

And I have no idea what you are trying to create.

with the price point on a Henry, it's cheaper to buy another entire firearm just to get the part.

Look for a replica to cut up. Since the the part you want is a receiver, chances are you will not be able to mail order it, and will have to go through a gun dealer. There are dummy replicas out on the market that could be had cheaper than paying for some machine time to make a look alike part.
