I've had nothing but good experiances with my Pentax k200d, and it was reasonably priced. Lower than a competitive model from other brands, and weather sealed unlike most SLR's. At the time it was $600 without a lens, but it will use ALL pentax lenses. Auto or manual focus. I started with a junky 50mm lens and built my skills with it before getting a steal on a film slr with lens that I just swapped over. Just a thought.
