Here's an update. This is the bolt as it will look. Its going to be 2 piece delrin tip with a brass body. I've always felt the solid delrin bolts looked a little cheesy. This bolt has a much classier look and retains the positive aspects of both materials. ![]() ![]() Note it is shown here without the O-ring in place. The delrin tip is retained by the cocking lug as well as industrial epoxy. It would be replacable if if worn. 45 degree angled gas port. Single o-ring design for maximum port size. Now the good/bad news. I am going back to school to become a certified machinist. Class starts August 19. The good news is that this will improve the quality of my work. Up until now I have been entirely self taught. Everything has been trial and error for me. The class will give me a real knowlege base to draw on. Bad news is, of course it will slow this project down. I do, however, intend to work on this project in class as much as I am permitted to do so, thus there may still be significant progress made during the class. It is a nine month course, five, seven-hour days. The class will cover everything from CAD drafting to casting, and of course machine opertion and CNC.

Started back to school. Sitting around the class room staring out at a shop full of beautiful machines all day is making me crazy to be working on something. That said I decided to push ahead with construction of the lever changers for those of you that chose that option. Here's how they look so far. ![]() ![]() The lever will lock in place (spring loaded) to prevent accidental releases. The bars that connect everything will be stainless steel for durability. I would have them done but I don't have the correct stainless stock on hand right now. They will be 1/4 stainless round. Very sturdy.

That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor. tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours. splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff... tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods. |

Currently building the vise needed to do the drilling for the tanks. The stocks themselves are too flexible and have to be held rigid for drilling. The vise I'm building will do that. My plan to work on them in class got somewhat hijacked, the other adult students decided they wanted to build a small internal combustion engine. So I'll have to devote some time to my part of that project. If I had backed out they wouldn't have been able to proceed. Didn't want to be the bad guy, so I didn't have much choice. I still intend to start working on the lever brackets -physically making the prototype in the shop and laying out the trigger plate in Mastercam while in the classroom.
