Talking My new project, have questions.

So I just acquired this marker for $75 and have some questions as it is my first Freestyle.

1. Is this a 2005 Freestyle?
2. What should my dwell be set at? Currently 8.
3. What kind of LPR, doesen't look stock according to the schematic I printed.
4. What should my HPR be set at for a good starting point? (400 now)
5. When I air it up the bolt moves to about halfway across the feedneck opening and sits there, is this normal? Marker seems to cycle fine.
6. Seems to use alot of air when dry firing, is this normal?
7. Bolt is Delryn, is this stock?

It has a Predator board and ccm feedneck.

I have taken it apart and cleaned and lubed it, it seems to cycle fine with eyes off and works fine with eyes on. The ball detents had no springs so I put a couple DM5 springs in their place and they seem to work ok.

What elese do I need to know?

As always, any help you can give me will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

1. Is this a 2005 Freestyle? - Look like it, it look like one of the Freestyle pro (anything before the 07 freestyle anyway - except russian legion and AB)
2. What should my dwell be set at? Currently 8. (if it is a 8 that is good)
3. What kind of LPR, doesen't look stock according to the schematic I printed. (JDT STD LPR - it should be super easy to rebuild too)
4. What should my HPR be set at for a good starting point? (400 now) (it should be a bit lower, say 300 to 350?)
5. When I air it up the bolt moves to about halfway across the feedneck opening and sits there, is this normal? Marker seems to cycle fine. (does the bolt move back at all or does it sit there all the time? You may need to rebalance the reg though, since each tank may change the reg balancing) If you need information on how to balance the reg, just post.
6. Seems to use alot of air when dry firing, is this normal? Older freestyle are gas hog in the first place, assuming you have the non modified bolt, they are not know for efficiency at all.
7. Bolt is Delryn, is this stock? - all freestyle bolt are delryn, even the modifiend one. I don't think they make the metal bolt ( not sure about the fs8 since i never got the chance to examine the bolt)

great resource here:

H2GF

I would suggest printing out that document and save it in case the server goes down.

Printed the document. According to that my Freestyle should have the HE Bolt, what kind of efficiency can i expect from that.

I will go home tonight, balance the regs and then shoot it over a chrono the next time I play.
