Rail mounted feedneck?

Hey Legion,
jbob-slc from 801 here.

I wanted to pick your brains on alittle custom peice I would eventually like to get done.

Im going to permanently remove the feedneck from a SP-1 marker, id like to come up with a "simple" way to re-attach a feedneck when I want to play hopper ball.

heres a picture for reference

the sp-1 has these rails molded into the top and bottom of the body, id like to find out if it would be possilbe to weld or otherwise attach a clamping type feedneck to something that would mount to the top rails of a SP-1.

Any thoughts?

what would the approx cost be to get this done?

I know you have been crazy busy with everything, my main question would be #1, if its possible and cost effective, if its a yes to those first questions, then I can worry about how long it will take

Boy id have to look at it first as i really dont know to much about those markers but i am sure it wouldn't be to difficult as the neck could be attached to a rail mount that would simply slide on and off.

How is the feedneck currently attached can it be removed easily?

the feedneck is permanently attached to the marker, annoying as hell.
it will require some dremel work which I can do.

I have seen other rail mounted accessories, mostly millitary that slide on and clamp down onto the rails with some hex bolts (tightening the clamp), thats kinda the direction I wanted to go.

for some odd reason, im obsessing with converting one of my sp-1's into a mag fed/spring feed type marker but want to be able to convert back to a hopper.

I can try and get you a sp-1 to look at, but from what I understand, it uses a standard rail, I have an old red-dot sight that fits on with no modifications.

Before you dremel it let me take a look. We may be able to remove it with no damage
