Your pump arm is pushing your bolt into the hammer which is travelling backwards too far and hitting the power tube. This the leak when pumping it.

The fix is to extend the pump guide a bit by unscrewing it a tad. You could put an oring there to keep it in place.

The velocity issue is because you are using hpa and don't have enough pressure to bring the gun up to speed. Use co2 or get a higher pressure reg.

Copy that. I will extend the pump guide and check that first. I will look into the HPA output pressure as well.

Thank you for the quick and succinct assistance.

Cheers!

the standard ninja output is 740 like i said you will need near automag pressures for this. I switched to a ninja shp reg

With my guide i needed to extend it by about 4 turns. Remember this is a pretty mass produced marker. So quality control really is the issue we are looking at. Not that bad if you anticipate and solve them ahead of time

Did that work for you? I'm having the same problem and still need to try this.

Hey Fightfightfight, yes it did. I ended up doing the 7-cent fix to correct the pump guide length. As for the HPA, I have decided I can live with it.

Or shim the one you have

Looking for suggestions on how to solve the ramming back the pump into the hammer problem for my hammer 7 which has no pump guide at all now as I am running it bolt action. Any ideas how to hold the bolt from crashing too far back?
