Now I'm not the first to make a double barrel marker. When I seen Doc's V-Twin, I thought let me see if I can make one for myself.
So I took a block of aluminum and started.
Put some holes in the block ....
Put in the under side holes ....
Shaved the sides down some ....
Rounded the top and put windows in .....
Now up to this point I did all this on my manual mill at home.
To make the front block & back I got to use the Prototack at work to make them ...
Trial fit to see if everything works together. ...
After that everything fit's I went and powder coated it and that's the Ma-Deuce-A ......
Now after I did the Ma-Deuce-A, I thought how can I make it better ?
So I though just how much can I take off of the side.
I came up with a drawing. The thing is this time I will need to use the CNC at work to do this one.
I wrote the program for the new design.
OK now that the program is done, I'm ready to start cutting.
First though we need to put the holes in ...
Now for the sides and top. I have to do this in 3 parts.
Side one ...
Side two ....
And the top part ....
On one of the body's I want to see if I could do engraving with the CNC.
So came the Ma-Deuce-A II ...
Ok so now that this point I do the rest of the body work at my own shop at home. I drill the air passages and feed tube holes along with the ball detent holes. Now the front block & back block are made the same as the first gen Ma-Deuce-A.
Now on this one I did milling on it I call the Riptied milling.
Hope you like what I did here ....
Ok at this point Ma-Deuce-A II is done. What next you ask, well how about halfblocking them .....
So comes Ma-Deuce-A II 1/2.
Doing these is a pain.
Not as simple as your standard autococker half block.
Again I hope you like seeing what I can do .....
Now anyone who as any one of these please post you pic's of them......
Wow these things are cool, do you still make these? and how much would a body kit cost w/ frontblock?
I'm glad to you still have that Ma-Deuce-A.
Pic's of when I sent it out.
Incredible. The halfblocked one with feed tubes would be awesome. Any plans to produce more?
So when can we expect the MA-TRES ??
an over under version seems fitting :bowdown
