That is not far from the fact. PPS did a very few and very small ads in APG circa 1988 and then stopped paying for advertisements altogether, preferring to rise upon the excellent word of mouth that there products inspired.

I think this may be the first time since 1988 that PPS has placed any ads anywhere at all. Though the shop has been supportive of various paintball events over time (IAO springs to mind) I do not believe that PPS has ever "sponsored" anyone in the paintball industry heretofore.

Very cool.

I think there is some confusion here.

When Glenn offered to sponsor the team he probably meant for AA not advertising!

I believe Palmers Sponsored MXS for a while. I do know that at MXS games Palmers stabilizer certificates where given away. Get a cert mail it in and get a new Palmer Stab.

Yeah, that is why I put quotes around "sponsored". PPS has always been very generous with their products, both in the interests of spreading the word and also in the desire to assist a paintballer or friend in trouble.

They also gave us a bunch of Stabilizer certificates to auction off for the benefit of Joe Hansen, a member of the EMR family who was the victim of a violent crime.

I have no doubt that PPS "sponsored" MXSin the form of Stab certificates. They have done that at EMR also.

Maybe advertised is a better term for this news than "sponsorship".

No matter what you call it, sponsorship or advertising, it's the first in a long time. Thanks PPS!

Exactly... they technically "sponsored" Project Red Eye too.

Regardless Palmers is cool. Even if Craig does want 10K to do a brass bodied Blazer... =P

I think I need to get me something from Palmers or some work done by them soon.
