you do realize that at over 300 FPS you're playing with fire as ATSM standard for paintball lenses is they are rated to so many FPS well effectively so much energy on the lens. at 350-420 as you state lens would probably only take 1 impact if that before shattering or cracking then shattering.

Just saying here, I busted my new enemy out at a local indoor field the other day. The thing works great, though I do need to break in the reg, I was set at 270 and spiking to 285. Shoots very well, and zero chops using evil. I'm impressed.

Manufactures and ASTM have mad sure the lenses can withstand impacts well above the field limit and above what the crazy Czech had posted. Different culture, less developed and organized game play.

Personally I wouldn't turn anything above 280 fps, it's unnecissary. Isn't that terrible for the marker? Also, it must hurt like hell to play with guns jacked up so high. I might be wrong, but getting hit in the neck at fps that high might be a safety issue?

Its definitely not going to feel good, and isn't what I'd consider safe for play.. but way back when you would chrono a marker by shooting a true, if the bark didn't come off, you were good to go. So, while its unsafe, and not great for the marker, I'm guessing the guy above has no say in what he dumbasss do. There probably isn't a huge paintball scene in the Czech Republic so Id imagine its had to find another group to play with.

Where are we coming up with this "not great for the marker" bit? I don't condone shooting over 300, but I certainly could without fear of damaging my guns.
Maybe that's the difference... I shoot paintball guns, not "markers"

With this platform, it is actually true that cranking it up for excessive velocities is not good for the gun. The internal hoses and I'm presuming the trigger valve are only rated for about 200 PSI. If you're outputting 300 PSI and shooting it a bunch, eventually parts are going to fail. Sure they can be replaced easily enough, but why waste perfectly good components?

So the gun can't handle its own reg's output?
