JT Proflex - most comfortable mask I've worn

I recently got my hands on a JT Proflex. I never really believed the hype, but man, they are crazy comfortable.

Here are my thoughts:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmF55uHM6G0

If you prefer to read your reviews:

Pros:
-Super comfortable. They really don't feel like anything at all. Extremely light, extremely breathable, great foam.
-Clear talking and hearing. The lowers don't inhibit voice projection, and the ears allow for very clear hearing.
-Interchangeability. It's a JT mask, so if you don't like or need to replace a part, no problem. Tons of colors and options available, for the frame, lowers, ears, and strap.
-Great lens. Excellent visibility, readily available, inexpensive.
-Can accommodate a large head. There's a downside to this, but the front profile is wide enough for just about everyone.
-Price. Basic models go new for $60 and change, but the price goes up for special colors or rare parts, particularly in the aftermarket.

Cons:
-Slow lens change. Ah, the infamous tabs. It's not as slow as it's often made out to be, but a quick-change system it is not.
-Ear coverage. Seriously, these soft ears leave half my ear exposed.
-Face protection. The lowers are super soft. Lot of upside to that, but on the negative end, you can get slapped in the face, and while the chin coverage is good, the jawline coverage from the side is mediocre.
-Wide front profile. This mask is not tight. I have a narrow face, so it's especially pronounced on me, but it sticks out a couple of inches to either side, which significantly increases the target area for my head.

Overall, this would be my go-to if the face and ear protection was a little better. I plan to try out Flex 8's and Proflex Revolutions at some point, which I hope address some of the shortcomings. Even with those problems, this is an excellent mask.

I prefer to replace the soft ears with the hard ears that were available on the JT's a few years ago, or even better the JT Revolution ears.

The Flex8 will address the wide front profile concern.

Awesome review! Flex's were my go to mask for years. I miss wearing my Flex's, but after this accident, I had to change to something with fuller coverage...

Yes, it was a completely random, freak accident, but I didn't want to take the chance again.

seeing stuff like that is why I don't run any goggle system with soft ears. I've run my profilers for about 3 years now and I doubt I'll stop until the lenses stop being manufactured. Maybe I should put up a profiler review

Flex is meh. Crappy lens. Flimsy bottoms. Terrible ears. Too agg for me. To thick of foam
I think they are so popular due to customization ability

On it I should have something up in the next little while. My mask is currently at my new place with the rest of my gear but I can give you a review video just my thoughts then I'll shoot one with the mask on to show coverage and such.

The most random, freak collision while reffing NPPL Huntington Beach back in 2008.
