I have the following sizes of brass tubing for sale.

Feed Tube - 13/16 (.812) OD x .028 wall (.756 ID) = $10 per foot ($0.83 per inch).0212 lb/in - .2549 lb/ft
Notes: This tubing is slightly (.006") larger ID than original Sheridan feedtube

Notes: I do NOT recommend using this as an unprotected barrel, as it is VERY thin walled, and will dent very easily. I am using my piece to make a couple of custom Nova barrels.

Notes: This tube will allow you to create a 1" OD adaptor from the standard Barrel tube. This could be machined to create an Automag twistlock, or threaded to create an Autococker barrel. The final machining is up to the user. I *might* offer the machining services at a later date, but that will be determined... later

The fine print:

I will cut to length, but all measurements are +/- 1/8".

I will preface this with... All I have is a cheap dial caliper, therefore the +/- might not be any better than .001 because of poor quality measuring device.

Based on measurements of all tubes, except the reeded one (it is difficult to get an accurate measure), all dimensions are +/- .002

As for overall straightness, I am at a loss as to how to measure it, without a surface plate. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a surface plate. If anyone has a "simple and inexpensive" way to measure overall straightness, I will be happy to use it, and post the results.

Those figures I asked for should have been provided by the supplier.

The supplier did not volunteer this information, so I will call them tomorrow and ask if they can supply it. I will not be suprised if they can't give me an acceptable answer, as the tubing is not "precision". They sell it in 12ft "mill lengths" and have to cut it into 6ft pieces for shipping. This may also introduce some distortion in the overall straightness.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful right now, but I will have an answer tomorrow around noon EST.

I have spoken to my supplier. They claim not to be the manufacturer, therefore "the specifications are what you measure them to be" is the answer they gave me. I understand this is not an appropriate answer, but that is the information I have. I will do some tests tonight using a 4 ft straight edge to try and determine the overall straightness.

I want to use a ccm feed gate on a short lenght of tube- which size do I need and how short would a 10/12 ball lenght be? Pm me.

Based on my tests, the overall straightness is +/- .002 over a 3 ft length.

The testing method is as follows:
Place tube to be tested against an assumed straight edge. In my case a 4 ft level. Use a towel, folded multiple times to get enough pressure to hold the level and tube together, without introducing any additional measurement errors. Use a feeler guage to determine the maximum deflection from the level. Rotate the tube 60 degrees and repeat procedure. Continue until the tube has been measured in 6 places. Make sure to note if the maximum deflection occurs first in the middle and then 180 degrees later, at the ends.

Repeat above procedure for all barrel tubing in stock.

I know that there are a lot of things that might affect this test, therefore I know that the results are not necessarily valid. Please make of them what you will.
