Hmmmm. I dont think that it does. Just did a google on it and did not see it listed. I have been very careful with it and, to be honest, I haven't had to worry with that. But, on my team, it was alway used in conjuction with a 15 million CP light. We called it "The Eye of God". And when the "eye" was lit off, the Nite scope was covered. Nothing hid from the Eye of God.

The scope comes with a filter cap. You can use it during the day, to sight it in and such with the filter cap on it.

Yes, it is intimidating. The way that we usually employ it is to have the night vision guy (me) up front sweeping, and the Eye with anywere from two to six wingmen. I spot for the eye (if there is more than one), drop and cover my site, and radio the Eye to sweep "X". When the Eye is lit up all the little kiddies see is the light, and the wingmen shoot up the exceedingly lit up targets. Works with small patrols or with large groups. We use this when we are sweeping an area, usually ahead of a mission group. We clear an area and draw in enemy stragglers to our recon group. Helps draw attention from our mission group. We have two "recon" squads in our team. Works great!

Hah... I would be afraid that a spotlight like that would melt a lens man!

Sounds like a fun tactic. I have used a spotlight in night games... great for blinding people. Hint, keep an eye-patch over your dominant eye to save it for dark shooting.
