Colonial

so do you guys see alot of these automag copies there?
Im not any kind of specialist, when it comes to these but i concider these quite well made and they run well with compressed air, better than with co2.

Yep its a Mag clone indeed, and quite well made,it does not have many differences between"the original thing",but its missing safety switch, and it does not have any engravings or markings at all,and i think it is cool, there aint so much to polish or sand if youre looking for smooth surfaces .

all the parts from level 10 kit fit into these etc,so you can use mag parts in these. My valve has some internals from mag and so on,and ive played with 300 fps settings without ever chopping a ball, afte ri stuffed superbolt in to mine.

Right now im thinking that i might put the shiny one under work,i was goin tofind&buy off some reg&valve, but as theyre rare here wher ei bunk,i must buy it from overseas or just use parts from black one,i dont know yet,but recently i purchased carbon frame with double-trigger,from this forum member. My intention is to use these,im not collector at all,and im terrified about the prices i see,so im always in a quest to find used, scratceh but working bit and pieces to make marker to play with,as i enjoy stalking in the woods, not looking some shiny gun in my safe, but hey, different strokes for different people.

Neat.

That teflon tape should not be on the reg threads though. Was there a leak, or is there no z-lock pin?

Correct, they were for a short time available in the uk in or around 1994 ?? but were not a huge seller if i remember correctly and were an exact copy of the L7 automag.
They were produced and sold through European Paintball Supplies (formally Brass Eagle UK) which was owned by a chap called mick Holdaway if i remember correctly.
There were three different versions,a standard L7 clone and a mini mag and a ugly looking thing with a huge barrel and shroud, they were priced just slightly less than a genuine mag.
Production was stopped once AGD got wind of them and threatened leagal action if the rumors are true.

Colonial

Just found this post and had to reply. The manufacturers of the Automag did try and claim the rights to the valve but failed as it was designed by jaques Casto as a valve for diving equipment. They then tried to claim the blow forward principal but this had been used on various nail guns.

I stopped producing the gun due to selling the paintball business so as to move into manufacturing fairground rides. At no time was i forced to stop making the Colonial

I hope this clears things up for you. Mick Holdaway

You can't deny that your product was a 100% ripoff of Toms though... right?
